It was written by Abraham Lincoln. It was suppost to free all of the slaves. It did not. Instead, it just angred the South. And they didn't free there slaves. -

The battle ended on May 4, 1863. The battle was fought in Virginia. The Confederate leader was Lee. THe Union leader was Hooker. The Confederate army won. Lee soundly beat an army that aout numbered him 2:1. Jackson died in the battle though. -

The Battle ended On July 4, 1863. The battle was fought in Mississippi. The Confederate leader was Pemberton. The Union leader was Grant. The Union won. It was a turning point in the war because the Union got the Mississippi River. -
Battle of Gettysburg
The battle ended of November 25, 1863. The battle was fought in Tennessee. The Confederate leader was Bragg. The Union leader was Grant. The Union won. It was somewhat a turning point because there were no more South attacks. The Union was playing offense and the Confederacy was playing defense. -
Battle of Atlanta
The battle ended September 2, 1864. The battle was fought in Georgia. The Confederate leader was Hood. The Union leader was Sherman. The Union won. They captured the "Heart of the South". They also launched the "March to the sea". -
Surrender at Appomattox Courthouse
The Courthouse is in Virginia. The Confederate genreal Lee met up with the Union general Grant. Grant's army overwhelmed Lee and he surrendered. It was officially the end of the Civil War. -
Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
It was at Fords Theatre in Washington D.C. The dirty deed was done by John Wilkes Booth. The original plan was to kidnap him. But that didn't work so they just shot him instead. He died the next morning. -
Ratification of the 13th Amendment
It officially abolished and continuted to prohibit slavery. It was not put into action right after the Civil War. They had to get organized first. Then they passed the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
