The Confederate army won, although they lost two generals. After this loss Abraham Lincoln fired McDowell and hired McClellan who set about re-organizing the Union Army. -

The battle was called as a draw after over 23,000 casulties, but the Union took it as a political win. -

The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
Information Source.Abraham Lincoln was shot on the 14 of April in the year 1865 around 10 o'clock in the evening. John Wilkes Booth fired at Mr. Lincoln at point blank range and aimed for the back of Mr.Lincoln's head. Booth then escaped the theater in which Abraham Lincoln had been shot, and was on the run until captured in Royal, Virginia. Abraham Lincoln died around 7:30 in the morning on April 15, 1865,and was the first president to be assassinated while in office. -

The 13th Amendment free all enslaved people. Unfortuneately, it passed after Abraham Lincoln died, but he pushed for it to pass it Congress. It was passed by the Senate on the 8th of April, 1864. It was passed by the House on January 31, 1865, and by Congress on December 6, 1865.
