First Battle of Bull Run

These deaths made citizens realize the importance of the war and how severe it was. This Battle was another confederate victory. After the Union defeat, McDowell was replaced by McClellan. -
Battle of Hampton Roads

Battle of Shiloh

Ratification of the 13th amendment

Assassination of Lincoln
