Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was with his wife at the Ford's Theater watching a preformance when John Wilkes Booth entered into the presidential box and shot Abraham Lincoln in the back of the head. Abraham Lincoln later died from the bullet. -
Ratification of the 13th Amendment
It declared that all slavery in the United States were to be abolished. It was passed by Congress January 31,1865 but was ratified by the started months later.
