This was the deadliest one-day battle in American military history. The union claimed this battle as a win. -

He issued this during the Civil War. Habeas Corpus is a tool preventing the government from unlawfully imprisoning individuals outside of the judicial process. -

Confederate general Robert E. Lee surrendered his army to Union general Ulysses S. Grant. This lead to the end of the bloodiest conflict in American history -
Lincoln's Assasanation
Lincoln's Assassinator opened the door behind him and shot him through the skull with a pistol. Both of his Orbital plates in his head were fractured and that is how he died. -
John Wilkes Booth is killed
He was 26 years old when he died, and he was an actor. On the other hand he is only known because he assasanatied Lincoln at the Theatre in Washington D.C.
