Louis and Clark were the first americans to travel from one side of the US to the other. Their journey paved the way for westward expansion. People follow their route to get to the west coast or branched off and went to other areas. -

The US went to war with Britain because they were affecting and stealing trade items for other countries. Thsi war made future prsident Andrew Jackson popular.The war made an increase in the northern factories. -
Hartford Convention
Federalists respond to the war. They don't send militias to fight in the war. Rumors spread that they would secede. claimed to be committing treason. The federalists party ends. -
Nat Turner
Nat Turner was a slave in the south that wanted to be free. He set out with other slaves and went to multiple different farm plantations and killed the owners and their families and freed all the slaves on the plantations. All of it was done in one night. -
President Lincoln
Lincoln was elected president. Southern states believed he would end slavey. Southern states start to secede from the country. It is thought to be treason.
