One of the confederate companies fired on Jackson's comany by mistake and shot Jackson. Jackson then had to be amputated and he died a week after that had happened. -

This battle happened because the two sides ran into eachother while stacking supplies. Ended confederate hope of help from Britian and France. -

This all lasred 47 days, Siege on water land. The confederacy split and there was a major turnign point. -

Farragut led 18 ships into Mobile Bay and used torpedoes to attack other ships. The Union invasion worked and the North won this battle. -
Sherman's March to the Sea
1,000 people who were enslaved along the march. He wanted to break the South's morale and spirit. They destroyed houses, farms, and killed a lot of innocent people along the march to the sea. The North won. -
Fall of Richmond / Surrender at Appomattox
General Lee and President Davis surrendered to the North that they won. The Civil War was now ended. The North won.
