  • Brown vs. Board of Education

This case was to stop segregation of schools. A group of plaintiffs got together to file a lawsuit against the Board of Education of Topeka. It was under the name of Oliver Brown due to the fact that his daughter, Linda Brown had to travel long ways to get to an all black school. There is a school right close by her house, but she can't go because of segregation. A year later the Supreme court ruled that segregation of school is unconstitutional.
