  • Brown v. Board Of Education

    The court outlaws school segregation. The court case that allowed seperate but equal facilities was the Plessy v. Ferguson, and the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that racially seperate facilities if equal, did not violate the constitution. The event that occurred in Topeka Kansas that started the Brown v. Board case was the constitutionality of state-sponsered segregation in public schools.The result of the case was the court said state laws establishing all schools to be unconstitutional.

  • Rev. GEorge Lee killed

    The Rev George Lee killed for leading voter-registration drive in Mississippi.

  • Lamar Smith

    Lamar Smith was killed for organizing black voters in Brookhaven Mississippi.

  • Emmett Louis Till

    Emmett Luis Till was murdered for talking to a white woman while visiting some relatives in Money Mississippi.

  • John Earl Reese

    John Earl Reese was slain by some nightriders who were against a schools improvements in Mayflower Texas.

  • Rosa Parks arrested for refusing to give up her seat

    Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her bus seat to a white man in Montgomery Alabama. The result of this event is that the court baned segregated seating on all busses in Montgomery.

  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    Montgomery bus boycott begins after Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her bus seat to a white person.

  • Willie Edwards JR.

    Willie Edwards Jr was killedby some klansman who was a 24 year old African-American

  • Civil Rights Of 1957

    Congress passed the first Civil rights act. The law made discrimination based on race,color,religion,sex,or national origion illegal. It also ended unequal application of voter registration requirements and racial segregation in schools at the workplace and by facilities that served the general public.

  • Events at Little Rock,Arkansas

    President Eisenhower orders federal troops to enforce school desegregation.

  • Mack Charles Parker

    Mack Charles Parker who was taken from jail and killed for supposedly raping a white pregnant lady.

  • Sit-IN

    Black students stage a Sit-in at a "Whites only" lunch counter during school in Greersbero, North Carolina.

  • Segregation outlawed

    THe Supreme Court Finally Outlaws Segregation in all bus terminals.

  • Attack of the Freedom Riders

    The Freedom Riders rode interstate busses into the segregated states in the south.The congress Of Racial inequality helped organize these ridea.Some of the reiders were actually whit but most of them were black.

  • Herbert Lee

    Herbert Lee a voter Registration worker is killed by a white Legislature. In Liberty Mississippi.

  • Civil Rights

    A Civil Rights group joins forces to launch a voter registration drive.

  • CPL.Roman

    CPL.Roman DucksWorth JR. was taken from a bus and then got killed by policemen in Taylorsville Mississippi.

  • James Meredith enrolls at Ole Miss

    When Meredith tried to enroll at Ole Miss a number of riots started that left 2 dead,hundreds of people hurt,and also arrested.After that Kennedy ordered 31,000 National Guard and other forces to help with the orders.

  • Paul GuiHard

    Paul Guihard French Reporter killed during an OLe Miss Riot in Oxford Mississippi.

  • William Lewis Moore

    William Lewis Moore was slain during a one-man march against segregation in Attalla,Alabama.

  • Birmingham Police

    Birmingham Police attack some marching children with dogs and some fire hoses.

  • Alabama Govenor

    Alabama Govenor Groege Wallace stands in the middle of a schoolhouse door to stop a university from intergrating.

  • Medgar Evers Assasinated

    Medgar Evers was an African-American Civil Rights Activist from Mississippi,While he was walking out of house to his driveway he was shot by white supermacist Byron De La Beckwith and later died from it.

  • The March On Washington

    The purpose of the march was for Jobs and Freedom in the nations capital.Martin Luther King JR's. "I Have A Dream" Speech was given when everyone met in Washington

  • Addie Mae Collins

    Addie Mae Collins,Denise McNair,Carole Robertson,Cynthia Wesley were all schoolgirls who were killed in the bombing of Sixteenth street baptist church.

  • Virgil Lamar Ware

    Virgil Lamar Ware was one of the many youth killed during a wave of racist violence in Birmingham Alabama.

  • Poll tax

    Poll Tax has been finally outlawed in all of the federal elections

  • Louis Allen

    Louis Allen was a witness to murder of civil rights worker assassinated. in Liberty Mississippi.

  • The Rev.Bruce Klunder

    The Rev.Bruce Klunder killed some protesters against the segregation of schools

    Henry Hezekiah and Charles Eddie Moore are killed by a group of Klansman in the KKK.

  • Freedom Summer

    Freedom Summer brings 1,000 young civil rights volunteers to Mississippi.

  • James Chaney

    James Chaney, and Michael Schwerner two Civil rights workers were abducted and then slain by some Klansmen of the KKK.

  • Civil Rights Act Of 1964

    Lyndon B. Johnson Signs and passes this law.The law ended segregation in public places and banned employment discrimination on basic race,color,religion,sex,or national origin.

    LT.Col.Lemuel Penn is killed by some Klansmen while driving to the north

    Jimmie Lee Jackson was a Civil Rights Marcher who was killed by a state trooper in Marian Alabama

  • State troopers

    State troopers beat some marchers at the Edmund Pettus Bridgein Selma Alabama

  • March to Selma

    The March was organized to raise awareness of the difficulty faced by black voters in the South, and the need for a voting right act.Marchers faced violent resistance by state and local authorities.The outcome of this is that there was a segregation act passed

    THe REV.James Reeb March Volunteer was beaten to death in Selma Alabama.

    Vernon Dahmer is a black community leader who was killed in klan bombing in Hattiesburg Mississippi

    Ben Chester White was killed by a group of klansmen in Natchez Mississippi.

    Clarence Triggs was slain by a group of nightriders in Bagalusa Louisiana.

    Wharlest Jackson was a civil rights leader who was killed after promotion to a "White Job" in Natchez Mississippi.

  • Benjamin Brown

    Benjamin Brown was a civil rights worker who got killed when police tired on protestors in Jackson Mississippi.

  • Thurgood Marshallfirst Black Supreme Court Justice

    Before he became a justice he was an attorney where he represented all manner of clients in all different types of trials. I think this is monumental because it proves no matter what race you are you are just everyone else and you can do things that everyone can.

  • Samuel Hammond JRt.

    Samuel Hammond JR,Delano Middleton,and Henry Smith were students who got killed when some highway patrolmen fired some shots at protestors in Orangeburg South Carolina.

  • The Assasination of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.

    Martin Luther King JR. was shot while standing on the balcony outside of his room at the hotel he was staying at in Memphis Tennessee. He was the leader of the Civil rights acts and was a precher who traveled to towns to give speeches on inequality.
