NAACP and Daisy Bates were the first to attempt to comply with the brown decision. -

On May 4th, 1961 the very first Freedom Rider bus left with seven african americans and six white people on it. -
Freedom Rider Bus Was Bombed
On may 14th, 1961, one of the two freedom rider buses were bombed. The bus blew up into flames and many, MANY people were hurt. -
MJK and SCLC Joined the Albany Movement
