Marshall tried to end the segregation of schools it took almost 3 years and on May 17, 1954, they won the case and ended the segregation of schools. -

Marching Protest through Washington
August 28, 1963, blacks and whites marched through Washington and asked for equal acess to public facilities, good education and employment, and decent housing. -
Nobel Peace Prize recieved by Martin Luther King Jr.
