    Whoever was to be born in the U.S will be a citizen and every state has to give the same rights to those who are citizens

    It granted the right for African Americans to be able to vote

  • Plessy v Ferguson

    A court case that established that African Americans and whites could have separate public bathrooms as long as they were both equal

    To ensure that there was equality among the citizens and put a stop to racism

    Granted the right for women to be able to vote

    This also granted the right for women to vote

    A court case that determined that court could not force business that limited the purchase or sale based on your race

    A court case that determined that separating children in public schools based on their race is unconstitutional

    She refused to give up seat to a white male

    An act that forbids discrimination based on your race, religion, color.

    A court case that was held and stated that freedom of choice was unconstitutional and wasn't a sufficient way of bringing desegregation

    A court case to be done unanimously by the U.S to speed up the process of racial integration in public schools

  • Proposition 209- Cailfornia

    A amendment that stated that states couldn't discriminate or superior others based on there race, sex, color, ethnicity, or nation origin
