May 17, 1954, the day the decision in the Brown v. Board of Education case was issued, marks a defining moment in the history of the United States. Emmett Till Murder
Emmett till was a 14 year old boy that tried to talk to a white women and was murder by her husband and dumped in the river. His body was later found and his mother had an open casket to show what the men did to him. This started protest for equality.
