    Any all black bus, or black bus driver was outlawed, in Baton Rouge's Black community.

    This was a decision made by Supreme Court to make the University of Texas equal.
  • Martinsville 7

    7 teens in Martinsville were accused or murdering some white girls. They all were found guilty and were killed.
  • Students Strike for Segregation

    A high school in Virgina seperates kids by race. Finally, the African Americans get made and strike to be equal.
  • African American Women trialed and convected.

    Women in Florida gets death sentance, for apparently murdering a white doctor over a medical bill.
  • Brown vs. Board of Education Starts

    Brown vs. Board of Education Starts in Kanas.
  • Bus prices are rasied to 50 cents.

    Alabama Bus compaines rasied prices from 10 cents, to 50 cents.
  • Blacks must sit in back of buses.

    All blacks must sit in the back of buses, this rule was adopted in Louisiana.
  • Brown vs. Board of Education

    Brown vs. Braod of education, were the Supreme Court ruled that it was illegal to seperate public schools for black and white kids. This case overturned the Plessy vs. Ferguson case. This helped out in the civil right movement.

  • Emmet Till murdered in Mississippi

    14 year old Emmet Till found dead in a river. The black boy was murdered for apparently staring a a white girl wrong. The murders went up against an all white jury and they were acquited.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    The Montgomery Bus Boycott begins on public Transportation in Montgomery, Alabama. The first person to do it, was Rosa Parks. Then others started refusing to give there seats to white people.
  • Robinson to the goes to Brooklyn

    Jackie Robinson goes to the Brooklyn Dodgers to play MLB baseball. First black player on the Dodgers.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott Ends

    The Bus Boycott ends and the Supreme Court rules, that it's illegal to segregate buses. Many important figures in the civil right movement took part in the boycott.
  • Esinhower Pairs with Blacks

    Esinhower decides to take the blacks side on Civil Rights
  • Civil Acts Right of 1957

    President Eisenhower passes the Civil Rights Act of 1957. The Act is the first to proect civil rights.
  • Bomb Found

    A church in Alambama finds a dynimite bomb next to there church. It was placed there by the Ku Klux Klan.
  • Cooper vs. Us State Department

    This allowed the Little Rock school to postpone desegregation untill 1960, due to mob violence.
  • Virgina Desegregates a school

    Alexandria, Virgina schools desegregates and allows four black students in.
  • Virgina's Prince Edwards County Closes Schools

    Prince Edwards County schools in Virgina closes because of segregation. Entire public school closing.
