Brown vs. Board of Education
In several states there were lawsuits against school districts to let African American parents enroll their children into white schools. But it wasn’t until Oliver Brown filed a law suit against the Topeka Kansas board of education so things would change in public schools. Brown vs. Board of Education ended segregation in Public schools. -

Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white man which lead her to get arrested. Her arrest outraged many African Americans that then lead to the year long Montgomery Bus Boycott. -
