  • Rosa Park bus boycott

    Rosa Park, by just sitting on the bus seat, and refused to leave her seat to give it to a white passenger, was arrested. The African American, whose were a majority of bus riders, stayed off the bus as protest. (Montgomery Bus Boycott, n.d.)
  • Court banned bus segregation

    Martin Luther King and the protesters stayed peaceful, and when the bus segregation was banned, the Boycott was ended. (Montgomery Bus Boycott , n.d.)
  • March on Washinton and speech "I have a dream"

    This march took place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. This was successful because it pressuered the administration of JFK to initiate a civil right bill in the Congress. This is also where Martin Luther King delivered "I have a dream". (March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, n.d.)
  • Voting Rights Acts

    Congress signs the Voting RIghts Acts, this makes easier for the southern blacks to have access to vote, literacy tests, poll taxes, and other requirements that made black vote difficult. (Brunner, n.d.)
  • Murder of Martin Luther King

    Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated in 1968, but this didn´t stopped his ideas to keep spreading. (AS, n.d.)
