Thinking
I began thinking about heroes on this date. Who has influenced my way of thinking most? Who has inspired me in my life? -
Research
Looked at the list of most influential people of the century, on Time and other websites, while doing some thinking about heroes I already had in mind. Narrowed the list down to Stephen Hawking, Mother Teresa, John Nash, and Christopher Reeve. -

Christopher Reeve
After looking at the different biographies available on my list of heroes on Amazon and reading a few of their excerpts, I talked to my mother about who she thought was most inspiring and influential. I eventually narrowed the list down to Stephen Hawking and Christopher Reeve, but after looking up articles, reading his "Still Me" biography teaser, and comparing it with the books and autobiography I have already read by Stephen Hawking, I decided that Christopher Reeve was the best candidate -
The Biography
I checked out Christopher Reeve's autobiography, "Still Me," as well as another short book containing photos and additional information about his life and condition from the CRHS library after school -
Setting Up the Interview
Carrying Christopher Reeve's biography, I ran into Mrs. Dolan, coincidentally the very person I had wanted to interview for the project, after school. Upon her inquiry, I informed her of the assignment and politely requested that she be the subject of my interview. I followed up that evening with an email containing details of the interview. -

Reading
Read Christopher Reeve's bio from cover to cover! -

Post One - How I Chose My Hero
Wrote first post for posterous - revision, editing, and finally posting -
Stem Cell Research
Because Christopher Reeve's autobiography depicted his life leading up to his accident in greater detail than it did his philanthropy work after his accident, I decided to research in further depth his scientific pursuits. I read several articles, not only about the Christopher Reeve Foundation, but also about the current research being conducted in this particular field -
Lunch Discussion - Heroes
Discussed with friends at lunch their heroes and definitions of heroes. -

Post Two - Heroes in Literature
-
Interview Questions
Finished adding questions to my list for the interview, touched them up, and sent them to Mrs. Dolan upon her request -
Dinner Party
My parents hosted a dinner party at my house in the evening, and while we were all chatting in the living room, I brought up this project. I asked others about who their heroes were, while explaining why Christopher Reeve is my hero. When everyone left, I did a little research on Christopher Reeve's wife, Dana Reeve, as she is also, to me, a hero -
Final Paper - Outline
Wrote the outline for my final paper, exchanged more emails with Mrs. Dolan about the interview.
Toyed with recorder on phone and got comfortable with it -
