Fernando Columbus is born after Christopher Columbus meets his mistress Beatriz de Harana. -

First Voyage
Columbus’ first voyage left and discovered an island which Columbus named San Salvador. The king had granted him with three ships, looking for a quicker route to India. He changed his route to follow birds, eventually leading him to San Salvador. This was the first officially documented existence of the Americas. -

Santa Maria Crashes
The Santa Maria was the biggest ship of the fleet, and after it hit the land, 39 men were left behind as the rest of the fleet continued. When the fleet came back for the men, they had found out that natives had killed them. -

Christopher Columbus’ Second Voyage
Columbus left with 17 ships and around 1200 men. Their main objective was to conquer the Taino Tribe and to take over the region. This voyage was a huge financial effort as lots of livestock were transported to America for the first time. -

Columbus sets out from Spain with six ships, the aim for this voyage is to colonise the Cape Verde Islands. He does end up arriving at Trinidad -

Columbus Sent Home
After resuming his role as the governor of the fleet, Columbus was hated by many, after a new governor is sent from Spain to replace a Columbus, he is sent home in chains. -
May 11, 1502
The Last Voyage
Columbus leaves from Spain with four ships. He arrives at modern day Nicaragua and establishes a fort. After getting attacked by Indians, he is forced to abandon the fort. After abandoning his sinking ships, he leaves his sailors in Jamaica and comes back for them a year later. -
May 20, 1506
Columbus’ Death
Christopher Columbus dies aged 54. The cause of death was a rare tropical disease that first showed its signs during his third voyage. He dies in Valladolid, Spain.
