After Months of Readying "Operation Fortitude" the Allies Launched Operation Overlord, the Real Attack, Thousands of Soldiers Were Dropped Onto Normandy Where They Cut of Routes For Axis Reinforcements. Then Came the Invasion, a Good 156,000 Soldiers Stormed the Beaches of Normandy. More Than 4,000 Died That Day. -

This Was The Germans Last Chance at War Before the Allies Would Invade and Most Likely Take Germany. Over 200,000 Soldiers and Around 1,000 Tanks Were Sent to Try and Split the Armies, While Pushing One Part Into the English Channel. They Got Pretty Far After Pushing Through an American Blockade, But Then They Lost. -

While Germany Was Crumbling Over in Europe, Japan Was Slowly Being Pushed Back to Japan. Marines Were Sent to Take Iwo Jima, and were met with steep dunes of ash, and the Japanese who were waiting for the Americans to start struggling before they started attacking. The Marines Eventually Won But Thousands Lost Their Lives Taking the Island, The Islands Value Was Soon Called Into Question.
