Chris Starts High School
Chris enjoyed many sports and was a good athlete. He was also very good at cross country. -

Chris finds out that his dad had a sixth child with his first wife. Chris doesnt trust his father and cannot forgive him for not telling him the truth. -
Chris starts his journey
Chris starts his journey in his old Datsun and starts heading directly west. When he parks overnight in a detrital wash it starts to rain really bad and the motor gets really wet so he abandons his car. He leaves a note that says " If you can start the car you can have it" -
Alexander Supertramp
Chris started going by the name of "Alexander Supertramp" and kept records in journals of where he went and the people he meet. -
The Burres
While in California Chris hitched a ride from Jan Burres, who was a girl who lived a life similar to Chris but owns a car. They grew close in the short time they knew each other. -
Alex Meets Wayne
Alex gets a ride from Wayne Westerberg in South Dakota. He then gets a job for Wayne at the grain elevator in Carthage. They end up becoming close friends. Alex stays with Wayne until he gets in trouble for the "Black Boxes." -
Mexico
Alex sneaks across the border of Mexico in a Kayak. He spends some time down in Mexico before he decides to go back to America. -
On His Way back to America
Alex gets caught by the Immigration police and has to spend the night in jail. He explains his situation to the police and they eventually let him back to America. -
Bullhead City
Chris arrives in Bullhead City Arizona. He gets a job at the local McDonalds. -
Chris meets Ronald Franz
Chris meets Ronald Franz who is an 80-year-old man when he was hitchhiking into town for supplies and asked him for a ride. They then became good friends. -
Wayne gets out of prison
Alex finds out that Wayne is out of prison, he then goes back to Carthage to keep working for Wayne. -
Alaska
Alex decides that it is finally time for him to go to Alaska and he arrives in Fairbanks. -
The Bus
After crossing the Teklanika River Alex comes across Bus 142. He decides to set up his camp here. -
MOOSE!
On June 9th 1992 Alex Kills the Moose. It then turns out to be a disaster and he wishes that he never killed the Moose. -
Alex's Accident
Alex had been running low on food so he began eating potato seeds and had got really sick. After that he began to starve. -
Alex's Note
Alex left a note on the camper that said he was in serious trouble and needs help. -
Alex dies
On the 112th day Alex Passes away. But only 19 short days later people stumble across the camper and find his body inside the sleeping bag.
