The Chinese soldiers march for 368 days to retreat from Japan. -

He leads the party to victory and eventually takes control of China. -
Nanking destroyed
Chinese city Nanking was destroyed. This combined with other things worked severly against the nationalists. -

When intellectuals were given a taste of "real country life". They suffered and many died. -

The People's Republic of China is officially founded. China is now a Communist country. -

Over 20,000 people died because they were accused of being spies. -

This resulted in growth in population and industry, and eventually the Great Leap Forward. -

20 million people died due to the failure of this plan. -
Chinese Cultural Revolution.
All of the youngsters of China were encouraged to tear down the old and capture the energy and hype of the revolution in 1911. This resulted in the vandalism and tearing down of many old paintings and buildings. Also intellectuals were persecuted. -
