    It is the ruling political party of the People's Republic of China. The Communist Party of China (CPC) is the world's largest political party; it has over 80 million members, most of them being military or civil officials.

    The Communist Party of China supporters went into hiding and formed a military revolt with peasant rebels and every time they rose up, they were squashed. This was the beginning of the "Ten Year's Civil War."

    After his death, the CPC under the leadership of Deng Xiaoping moved towards Socialism with Chinese characteristics and led to Chinese economic reform. Also, the Gang of Four, including Mao's wife Jiang Qing, are arrested.
