  • Agarian Reform Law

    Mao passed the law to reform land and gave peasents power over landlords as they were rounded up and killed.
  • The Three Antis Campaign

    As a result of the Korean War Mao started the Three Antis Campaign in order to prevent bribery, non-payement of taxes, and spying. Those found guilty were either shot or sent to prison
  • Anti- Righteous Campagin

    Half a million people are sent to country in order to "refrom through labor" most of which were very educated and opinionated
  • Great Leap Forward

    The Great Leap Forward was pushed by Mao Zedong to alter China from a farming country into a modern, industrail sociery in a five year span. The Great Leap Forward began in 1958 and ended in 1960 when the plan was cut short due to failure as many people died due to a distastrous economic policy and starvation.
  • Cultural Revolution

    The Cultural Revolution was between 1966 and 1976 under Mao's power he believed that Communism was taking the country too far in the wrong direction. He gave the youth the power to make a change and have total authority over their ancestors.
  • Split with the Soviet Union

    During the Cold War relationships between China and the Soviet Union worsened as Mao believed the soviets were too conervative and accused them of being too friendly with capitalists. It led the Soviet Union to withdraw aif from China
