End of the Qing Dynasty
Nationalists overthrow Qing Dynasty that had rule since 1644. Sun Yixan was a Koumintang that with alliances succeeded in changing china´s government and traditions. Sun became the president of the new republic of china -
Sun Yixian
Sun Yixan was the First president and the founder father of the Republic of China. He is still conciderd the fatheer of China. He did greate advances for china including the Nationalist Party. Eventhough he sufferd many exiles he always came back to help. -
Chinas first president
After the Qing dynasty felt the chineses didnt wanted to continue with a dynasty rulling their country, they decided they wanted a change and they wanted to have a president to rule everyone without having a divine family in power. -
World War I
Beijin declares war to Germany and China Participates helping them, they wanted to make a change and they thought that way they were going to get some of the territory they had lost back, but that didnt happend and they lost some territory. -
May Fourth Movement
When news of the Treaty of Versailles reached cina, over 3,000 students gatherd in the center and protested against European Imperialism. -
The communist Party
In 1920 a group of people came together to organize the communist pary, Mao Zedong was part of it. While the communist party was forming Sun Yixian set his National Party in the south of China. -
Lenin Befriends China
Sun accepted an offer from the Soviets. Lenin seized the opportunity to help China´s Nationalist government for an exchage. he offerd china millitary help and training for some generals that needed it. -
Sun Yixian died
He died of liver cancer and Jiang Jieshi takes his place of the nationalist party to keep on with the mission that Sun had started, he changed a lot of things and became a very important person in china. -
Peasants align with communists
Jiang promised may good things to the peasants, but he didnt changed their lofes for good so they decided to suport the communist party because they thought they were better. -

Civil War Rages In China
By 1927 Communists and Nationalists where fighting a very hard and violent civil war, Mao was a Communist that convinced the peasants to join the Red Army, Nationalists attacked the communists but failed to win. -
Japan invasion
Japan took advantage that china was very occupied fighting and they took Manchurria that was a land that china owned, that was important for them but they wanted to take advantage and expand their land. -

The Long March
Jiang gatherd an army of 700,000 men, they then surrounded the mountains where the communists where hidding forcing them to leave making a 1 year log walk to get to a safer place. -
Nationalist party wins
After the long march more than half of the army of the Communist was dead, diyng or sick because of the Long March. This gave the Nationalists party an advantage over the others, they are not only bigger in number but they have a bigger support of other countries. -
Japan VS china
Japan brutally attacks China while china was fighting its own civil war, they took advantage and destroied and took a lot of territory. -
The Red Army
Mao created a red army that was communist that wanted a change and they fought to get it. Many people died because of all the wars they fought. -

The Us fought very hard to help the Nationalist party of China becuase they didn t waned Mao´s communist party to win, they thought communist was a very bad idea and they wanted Nationalist.
