To continue my education, I received my GT endorsement through Texas A&M Commerce in Mesquite. -
Began teaching in CFBISD
I taught at DeWitt Perry MS for two years and then at R. L. Turner for five years. -
Graduated with M.Ed. from UNT
Another example of continuous self-improvement is that I received my Masters in Secondary Education at UNT. -
Taught AP English 4
I taught AP English for 3 years, which was a highlight of my teaching career. -
Became an Instructional Facilitator
As an IF, I was on the leadership team for the first time and participated in creating staff development and writing curriculum for the district and campus. -
Named VIP for R. L. Turner
The equivalent of a teacher of the year, I was given this accolade, entitled Very Important Person in the Teaching Profession. -
Presented at Thinking Maps Int'l Conf.
My first major presentation, I gave a social studies focus-presentation at the Thinking Maps International Conference. -
Began teaching in Northwest ISD
I moved over to Northwest ISD in 2007 and taught there for two years before I moved in a leadership position. -
