Mendeleev's Periodic Table
The Mendeleev periodic tablw was created by Dmitri Mendeleev in Russia. He published a periodic table in order of atomic mass, similar elements, fell into verticle columns, and was able to predict future elements. -
Discovery of the Electron
J.J Thomson discovered the electron in England. He confirmed the existance of the most important elementary particles. Inside a cathode using voltage, flourecent streams of electricity travelled from top to bottom thus proving his theory of the electron. -

Rutherfords Gold Foil Experiment
The gold foil experiment was done by Ernest Rutherford in England. He discovered that an atom's mass consisted mostly of protons with electrons orbiting the protons. He proved this by shooting radioactive particles at gold foil and only some of it went straight through to the x-ray film. -

Bohr's Planetary Model of the Atom
Made in England by Niels Bohr. He discovered that electrons travel in increasing larger orbits and that the outher orbits could hold more electrons. He also stated that the outer orbits determine chemical properties. -

Discovered by James Chadwick in England. Figured out that the nucleus was about twice the weight of a proton therefore a neutral particle must be present(neutron). -

Germany Started the war by invading poland and the caused polands alies to help them; polands' allies were called the allies(Great Britan, France, the United States, and the Soviet union. The opposition was called the Axis(Germany, Italy, and Japan.) This war mainly occured in europe and the allied powers won.
