The Assyrians contaminated their enemies' water supply with a poison called Rye Ergot. The poison came from "skunk cabbage", which is a poisonous plant that grows near water. -

The Tartars hurled the corpses of people who died of a plague over the Kaffan walls. Historians say that this started the Black Death, or Bubonic Plague. -
