USS Constitution v. HMS Guerriere
The USS Constitution defeated the HMS Guerriere off the coast of Nova Scotia. The battle lasted for about an hour and marked a great victory for the Navy. -

Battle of Fort McHenry
When the British defeated the Americans at the Battle of North Point, their Navy began its assault on Baltimore by going up the Chesapeake. They were stopped by Fort McHenry which was in front of the entrance. -
Treaty of Ghent
The Treaty of Ghent was signed in the city of Ghent, Belgium. This was the peace treaty that ended the War of 1812. -
Battle of New Orleans
Commander Andrew Jackson smartly defended New Orleans against the threat of an overwhelming British force during the War of 1812. This was also the last major battle of the War of 1812.
