Charles wrote in volumes and in a timespan of 57 years. It took many years to chronologically publish these writings due to lack of funding. The first seven volumes were published during this timeframe but volume 8 (covering 1857-1892) was published before volume 7 (which was published in 2014) and covered 1890-1892. -
