    Chris Sander Peirce was born on September 10, 1839, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Peirce graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1863. In 1859 through 1891, Peirce was employed by the U.S Coast and Geodetic Survey and then took on a second job in 1879 teaching at John Hopkins University.
  • 1870- Peirce Pragmatism

    Peirce saw the pragmatic account of meaning as a method for clearing up metaphysics and aiding scientific injury. Peirce attempts at publishing for mutating pragmatic in the 1870s. His earliest pragmatism came from his 1878 paper "How to Make Our Ideas Clear".
