Charles Darwin ends his voyage
Charles Darwin and the crew aboard the HMS Beagle returned to England along with nearly 500 bird skins, various bird parts, and a small number of nests and eggs. He donated most of his collection to the Zoological Society of London to be examined. -
On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection
On November 24,1859, after years of travel and researching all type of plants, animals, and humans from different cultures and geological regions, Darwin published, “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.” Which was a detailed explanation of his theory about how life on earth had evolved, by the strongest specimens would survive and evolve while the weaker members would die off. -
Charles Darwin Passes Away
Charles Darwin passed away on April 19, 1882. At the age of 73, of heart failure. His last words were, "I am not in the least afraid of death." Throughout his life Charles Darwin made numerous advances and theories that would benefit the world years centuries after him.
