Charles Darwin Galápagos Expedition
In 1835 Charles Darwin made his famouse expedition to the Galápagos islands. -
His Contribution
Charles Darwin made many discoveries on his expedition. He discovered 25 new species of birds, 100 new species of plants, and of course his theory of evolution.
Before his expedition Darwin agreed strongly with creationist theories. It wasn't until after his expedition that he truly began to believe that variations in different species could be explained through science.
Darwin showed a willingness to challenge previously accepted beliefs and test new theories based on research and evidence. -
