Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 into a wealthy family ,the fifth child of six, in the town of Shrewsbury, England, UK (Desmond).
With a physician father, and a physician and scientist grandfather, he was expected to enter the world of medicine, but despised early schooling experience, and completed college without a degree. References:

Death
