Darwin Receives the Offer of a Lifetime
Charles Darwin gets the opportunity of a lifetime when he is offered to sail the world for 5 years on the HMS Beagle where he was going to travel the world as the ships naturalist were he was able to explore the continent and the islands which included the Galapagos. -
Darwin Encounters a New Society
As Charles Darwin is voyaging on the HMS Beagle and they travel to Brazil he encounters slavery. He was very opinionated when it came to slavery wished to never go back to a slave country because it did not sit well with him. Later in his voyage he gets to encounter the native people of Tierra del Fuego. -
"On the Origin Species" is Published
After Darwin is done with his voyage he gets married to his first cousin and has ten children. Later he finally publishes the book on Natural Selection and even though it went on to be a best seller the views on the book were very divided and people had their own opinions. -
"The Decent of Man" is Published
After publishing his first book he went on a publish a book that focuses on the human evolution and the sexual selection. This book also lead to the theory of human being ape descendants. In Darwin's book he studied the sexual selection between birds, insects, and mammals.
