University of Edinburgh
Darwin dropped out of school at the age of 16 and joined his father on his doctor rounds for that summer. He then decided to go to med school at The University of Edinburgh to follow in his father's footsteps. He ended up dropping out due to being traumatized after witnessing surgery being done on a child. -
Cambridge University
Charles Darwin started at Cambridge University after dropping out of the University of Edinburgh. He enrolled for a theology degree which he obtained his Bachelors in 1831, Masters in 1836, and his Honorary Doctorate in 1877. -

THE ORIGIN OF SPECIES
Charles Darwin published his book (The Origin of Species) in 1859. Members of the Church of England where angered by this book because it contradicted the belief of God. This explains that all species adapt to their surroundings (like the climate). For example, people in Africa have adapted to the diseases but if someone from another part of the world (say America) were to go there, they would, more than likely, die from said diseases because their bodies aren't used to them. -

Darwin was awarded the Copley Medal because of his research about the origin of species. -
The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex
Darwin Wrote another book in 1871 suggesting that humans descended from apes. He looked at all the similarities between men and apes. (The muscles, nerves, blood-vessels, internal organs and most importantly the brain). He also compared the behavior between the two. Everything lead to be remarkably similar. -
