Galápagos Island
Darwin's Voyage led him to the Galápagos Island from Sep 15th, 1835 to Oct 17th, 1835. During his time at the surrounding islands he noticed similarities between different species of finches. Darwin's Finches
Although Darwin had cataloged the various finches each with their own distinctive features in the area of the Galápagos Island. It wasn't until after he returned to England that he realized they were related until a few years later and with the assistance of a skilled ornithologist. On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection
As a result of his observations of Finches fro the Galápagos Island, and theorizing that each finch had gradually adapted to their island. Darwin came up with the theory that all living thing evolve by a process of natural selection.
