    Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England on February 12, 1809. During his lifetime he opened the doorway for the study of evolution. He was a naturalist, geologist and biologist but his most important works was the natural selection and evolution.

    Charles Darwin get asked to go on a voyage to South America. The reason for the trip was to survey the coastline to make maps that better replicate. However, Charles Darwin spent the trip collecting data for his research. When he was at the Galapagos Islands he discovered that the species on each island had developed or evolved.

    His Publications

    Charles starts writing about his theories when he gets back from his voyage. Even though he is most know for him introducing natural selection, he also furthered studies of earth's surface and the processes on how it is shaped. He publishes "Voyage of H.M.S. Beagle", "Questions about the Breeding of Animals", "Origin of the Species", "the Descent of Man", "the Expression of the Emotion", "Insectivorous Plants", and many more.
  • Publishing Theory on Natural Selection

    Charles Darwin finally published his "The Origin of the Species". Which is about natural selection and evolution. Darwin was a true pioneer in science theories at this time.     Charles Darwin died April 19th, 1882 and is buried at Westminster Abbey.
