    Charles Darwin was born on February 12th, 1809 at The Mount, Shrewsbury. He was the youngest child of parents Robert Waring Darwin and Susannah Wedgewood. His Mother later passed in 1817.

    From 1818-1825 Charles Darwin attended Shrewbury School. He was a not a fan of the school and was later deemed unsucceful with his studies so he was removed from school. He later attended Edinburgh University.

    The Voyage of the Beagle

    The Voyage of the Beagle refers to the 5 year journey completed by Charles Darwin from the British Isles to the South Seas. He was a naturalist on the HMS Beagle and while traveling would collect different specimens to research or sell for profit. Throughout his expedition Darwin wrote of his discoveries. He later published a book titled The Voyage of the Beagle .

    On the Origin of Species was Darwin’s book now called the most important book to the history of biology. was made public on November 24th, 1859. The book presented evidence that evolution was real and the causes that made evolution happen. The most significant topics covered are natural selection, the struggle for existence, variation and adaptation, heredity, and species formations.
