The Origin was extensively re-written to answer arguments by Mivart. In the 6th (last) Edition the word "Evolution" is utilized for the first time. -
Presented with Honorary Doctorate of Law
Cambridge presented Darwin with a honorary doctorate of law. -
Death
Darwin had a heart attack, which was followed by seizures on Christmas day. after suffering for months, he dies at Down House and buried in Westminster Abbey.
