Darwin sets sale on the Beagle
A trip lasting around five years, Darwin will change the way the world is thought of. Changing from beetles to finches Darwin will uncover the early thoughts of evolutions. Darwin Publishes "The Structure and Distribution of Coral Reefs"
Darwin makes a monograph on coral reefs."The power of Darwin’s monograph was well recognized by his contemporaries as a major scientific work." (Charles Darwin, WHP) Darwin is now being viewed as even more of a scientist. He receives the Copley Medal from the Royal Society for these findings. -
Darwin publishes with someone else.
Charles Darwin gets an essay on natural selection written by Alfred Wallace. Darwin realizes he is behind and decides to publish with him. Following this Darwin releases his 500 page book "The Origin of Species". This is a huge stepping stone for Darwin, as he has already changed the way we viewed the world. He now changes the way we view science. He believes different species survive, because of their attributes compared to others. This will eventually lead to Darwinism. -
Darwin publishes again
Darwin now publishes "The Descent of Man". "The book discusses many related issues, including evolutionary psychology, evolutionary ethics, differences between human races, differences between sexes, the superiority of men to women, and the relevance of the evolutionary theory to society."
