    Starting in 1356, the nobles of the Holy Roman Empire decided that they should elect the Holy Roman Emperor rather than having the candidates fight to the death.

    In 1415, the Portuguese capture Cueta. This started their empire that was soon to grow and prosper.

    In 1428, the Mexica started to conquer the lands around Central Mexico.

    Zheng He's last voyage

    Chinese explorer Zheng He died during his last voyage in 1433. His crew returned that summer.

    In 1438 Pachakuti became the leader of the Incas and began to conquest the surrounding lands. He then changes the government there and builds the city of Machu Pichu.

    In 1556, Akbar succeeded Humayan for the throne of the Mughal Empire at the age of 14.

    In 1613, Mikhail Romanov became the Tsar of Russia and started the reign of the Romanov dynasty.
