Francia
Charlemagne was from Francia, and was a Frank. The empire was renamed The Holy Roman Empire some time after Charlemagne was replaced and the Battle of Bouvines marked the end of the Holy Roman Empire. Instead the name that stuck was France. -
French Revolution
The storming of the bastille started the French Revolution, which was fought to overthrow the monarchy as a result of bad living conditions and their needs not being met. The Enlightenment influenced the revolution, and several writings were created during the revolution. -
Communist Manifesto
One of the writings during the revolution was the Communist Manifesto. It was the 'bible' for revolutions, and very important at the time. It offered the people hope that they could govern themselves where the government had failed. -
Cultiral Revolution in China
The Communist Manifesto listed ten measures for revolutionizing production. One is the "combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country." The Cultural Revolution in China was an attempt to do this to make China a land where the citizens would accept without questioning. -
Mao Zedong
Mao Zedong was partly responsible for the Cultural Revolution. He was a communist leader at the time, and planned to follow the Communist Manifesto and use China to do so. -
Charlamagne Crowned Emperor
Charlemagne was a Roman Emperor. He was a christian and several of his actions were based off anti semitism, which is the hostility or prejudice to Jews. -
