In 762 caliph Al- Mansur created a city called Madinat as-Salam. Here is where he built temples and palaces which created the city. The city is now Bahgdad. (Grun 202) This is a significant event because it marks the Capitol for all of Muslims. -

In the 760's the Tibetan invaded parts of China. They captured the capital city of T'ang china. For theTibetan Empire it was a big accomplishemnt but they didnt hold onto it for long before they would get driven out. (www.historyworld.net)

4,500 Anglo-saxons were ordered dead from Charlemagne. Anyone who didnt convert to Christianity should be put to death wasthe rule. (History.com) This is a important event in Charlemagnes life because it showed other Empires that Charlemagne was powerful and ruthless as a ruler. It also showed that he wanted to spread religion and would kill for it. -

Charlemagne met a scholar named Alcuin which changed Charlemagnes mind about education. Charlamagne attended school with Alcuin and later shared educationn woth the rest of the empire. He changed it so you dont have to be rich or have alot of power to attend school. (Komroff 72)

In 787 empress Irene and many other church officails and iconoclasts met to discuss the use of icons in church, which were banned in 730. By the end of the meeting Icons were allowed to be used in church. (www.britannica.com)

Cenwulf of Mercia subdues Kent
Cenwulf of Mercia is the king or Mercia. In 798 Cenwulf makes an agreement with Kent for the sharing of land. (Grun 221) This is an important event in history because it gave mercia more power and allies. -

In 814 Charlemagne dies after a great life of ruling and changing the world. His empire was now called the Carolinian Empire for his astonishing ruling. In 813 Charlemagne himslef had crowned his only surviving son,Louis as the succesor. This meaning that when Charlemagne dies, Louis would take over power fully which is bug shoes to fill. (history.com)
