In 1095, Pope Urban II launched the first crusade on the Musliims inorder to regain Holy land taken by the Muslims. Knights, peasants, and serfs all traveled to Constantinople then to Jerusalem and captured Jerusalem in 1099. There were a total of 9 crusades.
