this law placed taxes on sugar ,molasses, and other products shiped to the colonies. this act was strictly enforced and was a harsh punishment on smugglers. Quartering act
Made colonists house british troops and provide them with supplies. Most of the troops were housed in New york. Britian owed a large debt from the French and indian war and keeping the troops in the colonies would raise that debt even higher so, colonists had to pay part of the war debt to raise income. An event in which some british soldiers fired on crispus attucks and four laborers. This event became known to the sons of liberty as the boston masscre.
