    British wanted to stop this war as quick as possible and sent 32,000 soldiers to New York and seize it and succeeded.

    We're hired by British and helped the battle to seize New York
  • Washington - Christmas Night 1776

    Risked everything and led 2,400 men across the Delaware Riverand won there surprise attack at Trenton New Jersey
  • Battle of Saratoga

    General John Burgoyne planned to lead men to Canada and were surprised by attack of militia men and were eventually surrounded to where the General surrendered. Also because of this the French officially decided to help the Americans in the war
  • Fredrick Von Steuben

    Prussian captain and talented drill master helped the Continental troops.
  • Battle of Valley Forge

    Battle of Valley Forge
    Washington and his men were struggling on food and supplies and over 2,00 men died but the rest didn't desert so Washington held pride in his men in his letters.

    Lobbied France for French reinforcements in 1779.Also controlled Virginia in the final years of the war and made the continentals a good fighting force.

    British began to take over savanna Georgia easily. And then charles Cornwallis won the battle in S.C. in May 1780

    Congress appointed the rich Philadelphia merchant Robert Morris to superintendent of finance to help with Americas debt problem. Haym Soloman was his accociate. They did everything they could to help raise money for the troops.

    General for Britain in the Battle of Yorktown. Eventually was surrounded by 17,000 men and surrendered on October 17, 1781

    Americans won this and was defining point where the British decided to stop fight America and wanted peace.

    During the war they lost resources of silver and gold and printed more money and ended up having trouble paying their troops.
