More choices mean more opportunity for success, failure and temptation. Couples have high expectations of love, intimacy and mutuality. From 1960 to 2014 the never married rate has doubled. Divorce has increased by 75%. Almost 42 million Americans have been married more than once, only 22 million Americans in 1980 were married more than once. Adult Americans that have never been married is at a record high of 20%. These trends have dramatically increased over the past 50 years, due to many factors such as the legalization of same sex marriage and the poor economy is affecting divorce rates. -

Abortion was legalized January 22, 1973. Each year nearly 1.2 million American women have an abortion to end pregnancy. Abortion has had a negative impact on society. Same-sex couples are unable to have children of their own and adoption is the only option for them.
