A local black veteran, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus for a white rider, even though it was a law. Then she was arrested. It was named the montgomery bus boycott. Many people were shocked about the mass murders, In South Carolina Charleston, nine black parishioners in a church were murdered by a white gunman who had a photograph of himself with confederate battle flag. President Obama gave a Eulogy for a the pastor, Clementa Pinckney. After the murder, South Carolina took down the Confederate Flag in the State house in the capital and deposited it.
