    article and video on Versailles treatyThe treaty of Versailles was signed after the end of WWl, and it was the first of many events to cause WWll. The treaty included huge reparations that Germany had to pay off and basically assigned the blame of WWl onto Germany.

  • Germany withdraws from League of Nations

    Germany withdraws from League of Nations
    Hitler withdraws from the Leaugue of Nations and he also withdrew Germany from the International Disarmament Conference.

  • The Munich Agreement

    Hitler had demanded Czechoslovakia and because of the fear of war Britain and France peacefully handed over the territory to Hitler "to bring peace"

  • Hitler invades Poland

    Hitler caught Poland off gaurd and invaded. Hitler and Poland had a nonaggression agreement which meant that Hitler would not invade.

  • Great Britain and France declare War

    Winston Churchill speaks on WWllBritain and France had a treaty with Poland that states that if Poland suffered an unprovoked attack Britain and France have to defend Poland.

  • Lend Lease Act

    Lend Lease Act
    The Lend Lease act was a way for America to help aid Britain without declaring war. Hitler saw this as America choosing sides so that causes hitler to not bother with trying to persuade America. Hitler starts sending his U boats to target American ships carrying supplies headed for Britain.

    Churchill's speech on the BlitzHitler begins bombing London because he thinks the United States will continue to stay out of the war. This caused serious unrest because if Britain fell the allies would have no hope in the War

  • Hitler invades Soviet Union

    Hitler yet again breaks a pact. This time it is with the soviet union. Stalin and Hitler didnt trust each other but stalin made the pact so he would have time to build up his army.

  • Japan invades Indochina

    Japan invades Indochina which America's reaction is to put an embargo onto Japan. Japan had two chioces at this point, withdraw from Indochina or go to war with America.

  • Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    The bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japanese bombers is what took America to declare war. Pearl Harbor had a death ratio of 57 american soldiers to 1 japanese soldier. Two days later, America ddeclares war on Japan.
