    Rise of Hitler and the Nazi Party

    Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria. He came from an abusive home where his father beat him. His mother was always his savior, though. He became Chancellor on Jan. 30, 1933. He had many followers in his belief that Jews were a threat to society, blaming them for lost wars and money problems. The Nazi Party soon began to form. They began to spread their "nazism" or "beliefs" around Germany and Europe.

    Japanese Expansionism

    Japan began to industrialize. They began to run out of resources though. They planned to attack their neighbring countries to gain resources. They attacked Taiwan and Russia. They became allies with Great Britian.

    Nationalism started when WW1 began. The Allied Powers put up flags around their countries. The Swastika sflag was raised high in Germany. Media was controlled to stop important information from getting out to the public. This was used as the Nazi's sign.

    The Treaty of Versailles helped give money back to Britain and France. This also stopped Germany from attacking another country because they started WW1. Germany's military started to be immobalized. Germany had to pay them back and that made them mad. Italy also didn't get control of the territory they wanted.

    The Rise of Italian Fascism

    Benito Mussolini became prime minster of Italy in 1922. He was one of Adolf Hitler's allies. He controlled media and what got out to the public. In 1935, Benito envaded Ethopia. Adolf Hitler began to take interest in Benito's violent acts and began to become allies.

    The Great Depresion was a time where everyone went broke. The stock market crashed and banks failed. People also were buying thngs on margin, meaning they really didn't have the money to buy the things they were purchasing. Herbert Hoover, who was president at the time, was also to blame for not helping out his citizens. Citizens had to make little houses called "Hoovervilles" to survive.

    Anti-communism is the control of everything and everyone. There were things that the media couldn't release and everyone had to share something in Germany, Europe, and Germany. Communists were feared in these places. Adolf used examples to bring fear into his people. This made people chose fascism over communism.

    The U.S began practicing isolation from other countries in the 1930's.

    Japan went to war with many countries including China. Hitler believed showing off his military force would show their superiority. Many militaries around Europe began trying to show their superiority even more ever since the Treaty of Versailles. It was a means of getting revenge. Italy was also mad because they could have gotten more land.

    On this date, Adolf Hitler, Neville Chamberlain, Benito Mussolini, and Premier Edouard Daladier signed the "Munich Pact". This pact signed over the city, Czechoslovakia, to Germany. This would stop Hitler from attacking and invading other countries. Adolf Hitler had the upperhand in this situation, making the others almost seem forced to sign the pact so Czechoslovakia wouldn't be attacked.
    World War 2 actually began one year after the signing of this pact.
